The earth

The soil is a mixture of sand consisting of silt and clay, alternating with layers of limestone.

Weather conditions

The winter was very cold, but the summer was extremely hot and dry with good temperature differences between day and night.

Production Process

The harvest was carried out in early October 2014. Alcoholic fermentation in containers using controlled temperatures of 26º-28ºC.

In addition, the wine is stored for 12 months on barrels of American oak (75%) and French oak (25%), where malolactic fermentation takes place.

Tasting Notes

Color: Deep, bright red with cherry hues on the edges.
Fragrance: Intense and complex with spicy aromas with hints of toast, cocoa and vanilla. Even balsamic aromas.
Taste: The wine is crispy and balanced with ripe, sweet tannins: a result of oak ripening. The taste also offers great balsamic notes.

Pairing with food

The wine is ideal for red meats, stews, and cheeses.

Serving temperature: 17 -19ºC.
