Soleil des Alpes means "the sun of the Alps" and refers to the very sunny southern part of the Provence region where this wine comes from. The area extends from the valley on the river Durance to the valley on the river Ubaye.
In this area, the Alps protect the vineyards from the strong cold winds. They benefit from the gentle breeze coming in from the south, which ensures optimal ripening of the grapes year after year.
The wine consists of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Cinsault, and holds less than 3 grams of residual sugar. Soleil des Alpes has a pink color. The nose provides aromas of red berries with a hint of flowers. The mouthfeel is pleasant but complex with a remarkable balance between freshness and minerality on the finish.
Serve at 8-10 degrees.
