Glenrothes is a Scottish single malt whisky produced at Glenrothes Distillery, next to the Burn of Rothes in the Speyside region. The whiskey from Glenrothes is used in Blended Scottish whisky such as Cutty Sark and The Famous Grouse. Glenrothes Distillery is owned by Edrington, but The Glenrothes Single Malt is owned by Berry Bros. & Rudd.
The whisky from this distillery have a sweet taste profile where cinnamon, red berries, apricot and honey come into play.
This bottling from Antique Lions of Spirits is 20 years old and only 288 copies exist! In addition to being a magnificent glass of old whiskey, it is also an extravagant design studio.
The whisky comes from a sherry cask and has been maturing for 20 years. The whiskey is bottled by 57% alcohol. Distilled back in 1997 - bottled in 2017 - a very exclusive Speysider.
