In the well-known land of rum Guyana in South America, some of the world's best rums are produced, and there is a long tradition of rum production that goes back over 300 years. Demerara Distillers is known to be among the world's best rum producers. Silver Seal has also bollted alot of rum from Demerara over the last 15 years. The 2017 release from Silver Seal is not an exception, and contains also three expressions from Guyana including this 26-year-old rum from the former Dutch plantation Uitvlugt.
This single cask rum was distilled and set aside back in 1990 and in 2017 the cask was discovered from the warehouse. The rum has been bottled at 51% alcohol and there are only 219 bottles on the world market. An incredible rarity for connoisseurs and collectors.
