At Domaine de Monturon Mr. Bachala produces armagnac. He has 1.1 hectares of vineyards with about 25 year old vines with the Baco grape variety. His master distiller Roumat works with a continuous distillation process where no more than 53% alcohol is obtained. For the cask aging, oak is used from the local forest, and the casks are stored in cool and humid cellars.
Darroze Collection Unique Vintage 2003 Domaine de Monturon is bottled at 50% alcohol strength and consists of 100% Baco. This Bas-Armagnac has spent a full 15 years on oak barrels.
